DIRECTIONS FOR USE
FibreWell is a soluble fibre-based pellet which expands when exposed to moisture. As such, we recommend that it ideally be fed as a soaken mash.

A scientifically formulated, oat free muesli blend, containing extruded grains, legumes, oilseeds and vitamin and mineral pellets, all rolled in molasses and cold pressed canola oil for a palatable and scientifically balanced complete feed.

The extruded grains and oilseeds provide an easily digested, ‘cool’ energy base combined with quality protein and essential amino acids to maintain condition, muscling and coat shine in horses entering their senior years.
The muesli blend is softened and sweetened by a coating of molasses and oils for palatability and ease of chewing, making it ideal for horses with ‘picky’ eating habits or aged horses with poor teeth.
Contains a stabilised pellet incorporating balanced minerals for skeletal strength as well as vitamins, and trace minerals in Bioplex® organic form to maintain joint cartilage and function

Tailored nutrients and amino and fatty acids, help maintain strong bones, teeth, joints and hooves. Organic selenium in combination with antioxidants including natural vitamin E and vitamin C, assist in improving immunity and wellbeing.

FEEDING RECOMMENDATIONS

• Introduce any new feeds into your horse’s diet gradually over a 1-2 week period.
• Designed to be fed in conjunction with roughage such as pasture and hay. May be fed either wet or dry, alone or combined with other ingredients (eg. chaff or grains). Horses should receive a minimum of 1% of their body weight in roughage per day.
• The suggested feeding rates are a guide, and the amount required will vary depending on the quality and quantity of pasture and hay available, stage of training, exercise intensity, body condition and metabolism of your horse.
• Divide into smaller feeds if feeding over 0.5kg per 100kg of body weight per day.
• Ensure your horse always has access to clean water.

INGREDIENTS

Johnson’s Old Timer contains premium grade export quality Oaten Hay and Lucerne Hay, Lupins, Faba Beans, Full Fat Soybean (GMO free), Soybean Oil (GMO free) and Johnson’s Premium Vitamin and Mineral premix (including chelated minerals, prebiotics, probiotics, and mycotoxin binder).

Formulated as a cool feed, it is suitable for all horses and ponies in light, medium or hard work, retired or spelling horses, breeding and growing horses. Provides very low starch and sugar levels, which may make it a suitable feed for horses who tie up, or suffer from Laminitis, Cushings, Insulin Resistance, Equine Metabolic Syndrome etc. Fibre Safe is a suitable substitute for roughage such as pasture, hay, chaff if quality or availability is limited, or in cases where horse’s teeth prevent them from chewing adequately.

FEEDING INSTRUCTIONS

• Fibre Safe is designed to be fed wet. Soak 1 part Fibre Safe with 3 parts water for 5 mins (warm water) or 10 mins (cold water) before feeding.

FEEDING GUIDELINES

• Introduce any new feeds into your horse’s diet gradually over a 1-2 week period.
• Designed to be fed in conjunction with roughage such as pasture and hay. Horses should receive a minimum of 1.5% of their body weight in roughage per day.
• Fibre Safe can replace up to 50% of the roughage component of a horse’s diet if pasture/hay is limited. Contact Johnson’s Natural Formula if you wish to replace more than 50% of the roughage component.
• Divide into smaller feeds if feeding over 0.5kg per 100kg of body weight per day.
• Ensure your horse always has access to clean water.
• Johnson’s Natural Formula feeds may be fed alone, or mixed with other ingredients (eg. chaff or grains).
• Fibre Safe is not a complete feed and should be fed as part of a balanced ration.

FEEDING RATES

Feeding rates may be influenced by age, workload, body condition, appetite, and pasture or hay availability.
Fibre Safe weighs about 5 times more than the same volume of chaff (before soaking).

In fact, animals have a more defined appetite for salt than any other element besides water.

However, most plants do not provide enough sodium for animal feeding. They may also lack adequate chloride. Therefore, salt supplementation is used to help keep livestock and poultry feed nutritionally balanced.

In addition to this, due to an animal’s natural taste for it, salt can be used to deliver less palatable nutrients and can also act as a feed limiter. Can also be used in pools.
